Dr. Yashwant Chavan
Director, Technical
Yashwant Chavan has close to nine years of experience in Molecular Biology and the Genomic Service Industry, having previously worked at Wockhardt Limited. He has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and is working towards his Doctorate. His research area is “Studies Advanced diagnostic tools for Study of Hepatitis B Virus genome.” At geneOmbio, he is involved in quality control, operations and research as well as developing test assays. Yashwant has been instrumental in obtaining the ISO 17025:2007 accreditation as well as other certifications for geneOmbio. He has published six research papers in international journals and has over 100 Genbank Nucleotide sequence accessions, to his credit.
